Les journaux intimes et autres ouvrages de cette pИriode m'Иloignent de la rИalitИ et de la vie quotidienne d'aujourd'hui, et la seule chose que je regrette, c'est qu'il est impossible de trouver de nouveaux travaux de romanciers tels que Defoe et Dickens, ou les nouvelles poИsies de poХtes comme Byron.

The Symphony Orchestra of CHRA Upon graduation from the conservatory Leon Sachs was drafted to the Red Army and for some time served in the symphony orchestra of the Central House of the Red Army. Working in this collective allowed him to widen his horizons and be directly introduced to the artistry of such outstanding conductors as Lev Shteinberg, Oscar Frid, Kurt Zanderling and many others, as well as gaining the invaluable experience of playing in the orchestra. When - after demobilization - he was offered to participate in the competition to the orchestra of the Operetta Theater, Leon Sachs easily secured the job of the principal violin.

Only in dreams would you encounter giant floating heads that spit ball lightning; angry crimson minotaurs; shambling hu- man zombies fresh from their own death; flying metal skulls with razor teeth dripping blood; ghosts colder than the grave; fifteen-foot-tall demons with heavy artillery in place of hands; obscenely fat shapes, only vaguely humanoid, that could crush the life from the strongest man in a matter of seconds; and, finally, there was the special horror of the mechanical spider bodies with things inside them that were far worse than any arachnid.

I had requested assignment and been given to a military academy that had just been established at Tashkent in central Asia, a region I had read much about in school, so, carrying my free railway ticket and all my documents, I said good-bye to my mother and family and set out on the long trip.

Another good thing is that the Chicago North-West is a space full place. For example, every time when you go for a sopping or visit a doctor or somebody you need it is easy to find a parking space for your car because of the spacious lot . Usually, there is no traffic during the day, and you do not fill tight on the road driving your car. Also, the Glencoe Beach, one of the beautiful beach in Chicago area is almost empty. There is no human activity on it, just a couple seats on the bench and enjoys the weather, or a few people run with their dogs by the edge of the water. In the North-West suburbs you will never fill crowded.

The two boys faced each other. There was the brilliant world of hunting, tactics, fierce exhilaration, skill; and there was the world of longing and baffled commonsense. Less tolerably, it obtrudes itself in almost everything- thought, action, and hallucination-that concerns the clairvoyant Simon, the "batty" boy who understands "mankind's essential illness," who knows that Ralph will get back to where he came from, and who implausibly converses with the Lord of the Flies. Some warrant is provided for this clairvoyance in Simon's mysterious illness, but it is inadequate. The boy remains unconvincing in himself, and his presence constitutes a standing invitation to the author to avoid the trickiest problems of his method, by commenting too baldly on the issues he has raised. Any writer of fables must find it hard to ignore an invitation or this kind once it exists. Golding has not been able to ignore it, and the blemishes that result impose some serious, though not decisive, limitations on a fiery and disturbing story.
