Quant à mes impressions bosphoriques, ne vous prenez pas de me questionner. Je ne me suis point encore assez orientalisé, ni même orienté pour y voir clair. C'est très beau, le panorama, les décorations sont admirables, mais le sentiment de la jouissance ne s'est point encore suffisamment réveillé en moi. Je suis comme un malade sans appétit qui se trouve devant une table couverte de mets délicats et succulents. Il les apprécie par le jugement, mais ne se sent ni le besoin, ni la faculté de les goûter.
